1.Can I transfer data from QuickPAD PRO to my computer and visa versa from my computer to the QuickPAD Pro? Yes. You can transfer data from QuickPAD PRO via our proprietary infrared receiver or via USB or Serial direct cable connection. To transfer data from your computer to QuickPAD PRO, you must use a direct cable connection and software provided (consult manual section “Moving Files between PC and QuickPAD PRO”). We also recommend the direct connection when transferring large amounts of data from QuickPAD Pro to your computer to increase efficiency and accuracy of transmission. Note: Presently, only unidirectional transfer to Mac.

2.Can you adjust the screen contrast and is the screen backlit? Yes. Simply press the Fn key and the up/down arrow keys to adjust contrast. And no, the screen is not backlit due to power consumption. This is why you are able to get 100+ of hours of power.

3.Can you adjust the screen contrast on QuickPAD PRO? Yes, you can adjust the screen contrast by pressing the Fn key + up or down arrow keys to darken or lighten.

4.Does QuickPAD PRO have an enlarged font option? Yes. Press Fn key and the right-click menu key (the key to the left of the right-hand CTRL button). The enlarged font will assist in special needs situations or as a matter of personal preference. Note that the standard font size of approximately 12 point will change to approximately 18 point which means you will now have less than 8 lines of display.

5.How much text can I store on the QuickPAD PRO? You can store approximately 500 text pages in internal flash memory. Externally you can store unlimited data (on compact flash card).

6.Is QuickPAD PRO compatible with a Windows XP operating sytem? QuickPAD PRO is compatible with any Windows operating systems including XP.

7.Is the QuickPAD PRO durable? Yes. QuickPAD PRO is not as fragile as a typical laptop or PDA. QuickPAD PRO will certainly withstand the demands of mobile computing with the LCD screen being the most sensitive component. For example, you can be confident when stowing the unit in your luggage when transporting it.
